Seriously I don't hate my own people. Just want to make people aware of whats going on. Like alot of you guys I share the same interest, same friends, same likes and dislikes. But one issue I can't stand is how things are back home.

johnjon- you must have misunderstood my post. It wasnt to flame filipinos or hate. Its just my frustration.
We had an option, we didnt take it. Just some historical facts. Just thought that life might have been a little bit better for the folks still living in the Islands if we a state or US territory. Who knows, maybe that offer is still on the table. So why not take it.
Also, there could have been more Filipinos on this board if that were the case.
Sorry if I offended any one here.
Like I said, proud to be pinoy.

Thank the God, Allah, Buddha or whatever you believe in that
1) you are living in beautiful, prosperous country and they accepted you
2) that you aren't homeless
3) that you reap the benefits of your labor
4) you are living in a democratic country
5) you were able to leave the country that you despise so much.
and more.
However, these blessings shouldn't give you the license to sh** on them. It's these things that give the country a bad rap.
People here didn't realize we had building, cars, planes and things like that back home because all they see are pictures of slums and mountain people in the news or people asking for donations. They couldn't believe I can converse to them in English.
