Turbo, Intercooler, Intake Manifold, Pod Sale

k, if anyones interested, im selling all this, as follows

TD04 Turbo from 94 GSR ( oil, water cooled) $ 250 aus dollar
Intercooler Stock 94 GSR $ 50
Intake Manifold GSR $ 150 94 GSr
PodFilter $ 30 ( brand new in box never used)

All from a 4G93 Turbo engine

All from the same car, he said they've done round 40'000 k's, and the turbo specialist down here said turbo's in excellent condition. The Turbo and intercooler price are firm, the manifold is ono.
,Also, for an extra 70 bucks, i'll throw in a brand new 2.25 inch boost gauge, that has a chrome housing, and white face. goes upto i think 25 pound boost, and also does vacuum.

Pete.

is it 1.8 or 1.5 ?

the intake manifold is from a 1.8 DOHC 4G63, so is the rest of the gear.

i'm not sure if it will fit onto a 1.8 SOHC, but i guess it may... you'll hafta find out.

Evoposer, im guessing you got the fuel injected model.. and i think i remember your from wa.. get the turbo and pod, and intercooler, boost gauige off me, then pop down to RPw and get the exhaust manifold made up ( i can give you a head start for an extra $100, as i have the exhaust plate that goes from the head and 2 other plates already made up... may save you some money). for everything there.. i would go $ 500 for all that stuff. and if ya live in perth.. i'll make a special trip up for you

you gotta getta exhaust manifold made up so the exhaust air goes to the turbo, its a special manifold, as the air coming form the exhaust spins the air turbine, which then spins the boosted air up into the intake manifold. you shouldnt have to modify your bumper at all, as with most things, there should already be bolt on holes in the left hand side, maybe up into the wheel arch more. i think most turbo places could tell you how much to fit it, maybe even RPW could let you know. the only mjor dramas with turbos, is you HAVE to changeyour oil every 5000 k's, and you have have a turbo cool down period ( where you leave your car running before you turn it off) give soem most respected turbo places a call.. as i know with the stuff i got atm, it would cost round a 1500 for me( i have a carby, so i got other tiddly bits) but that was down here... the only way to find out is to ring.

How hard would all this stuff be to fit to a 4G93 1.8 2000 model? Would i need to do any internal work so that it is still reliable?

if you keep boost at minimum, round 5-7 psi, you should be fine..
i think the 4g63 and 4g93 intake manifolds could be the same, you'd have to check with mivec... the manifold i have is huge compared to a stock one.. well a lil bigger.. you'd have to get in contact with a sydney firm EKW about the exhaust manifold.. they have a ****load of turbo ones for 1.8's.. again you'd hafta check the difference between engines.. good luck.. all this stuff is still sitting in my loungeroom

Correct me if I am wrong rexhunta but all the gear is off a 94 GSR??? If so the engine code is 4G93 T not 4G63. The throttle body which you have is larger than the standard item on the current 4G93 (1.8L Lancer). The problem with installing it on a CE 1.8L as opposed to the CC 1.8L (which it came off) is that the throttle body faces the opposite direction. So instead of the airbox going on the right hand (if you are looking at the car from the front) side of the car, it will have to go down the left side. I am not sure if this would work, but please do not let this scare you off. I do think that between the parts you have on your car and the parts rexhunta has, along with a few other bits and pieces, it can all be used on the CE 1.8L 4G93 engine. I suggest that it would be a better CC 4G93 1.8L application.
