It can be re-programed to suit your cars, I mailded them and they said $319 inc GST. for fitting and re-programing.
Not sure how much Im looking at asking yet, have to line up my next cpu yet, will keep you guys posted.

If your chip is fitted to a Lancer 1.8 and is a "GOLD" it will fit any Lancer 1.8 between 95 and 02. That is the information that I have recieved from powerchip themselves.

I am still interested tho.

For everyone else: The powerchip "GOLD 98" releases even more Kw than the "GOLD" which is already excellent and is the same price. Power goes from 86 to 98kw at around 5500 rpm. Seems just the ticket. $890 AUS

 

I spoke to a guy called Ryan Naylor who is the the consultant i have been talking to, he told me me that it has to be re-mapped as the later models have different fileds or somthing to that discription, not sure i will as again for ya.

 

Just got my reply from Power chip and Ryan says that it will need re-programing. Its up to who ever buys it i guess, i should have my new one pretty soon.
