I thought this event was going to be at the Mesquite Rodeo Parking lot but actually...

Equipe Rapide is excited to introduce yet another new event site to the North Texas autocross community. We have secured the use of Memorial Stadium at West Mesquite High School for our April 29th Challenge Cup event #3. The site is asphalt and at 390,000 square feet it is 60% larger than Pennington Field. Restrooms are available in the stadium. More details to come. We hope to see you all out there for the inagural autocross at this new site.

^Yup, it should be very close to the rodeo site...you could see that water tower at the last event. This lot looks refreshingly big.

Everyone excited? I'm ready to rock it!

Anyone else besides me and chris going? I'm sure Foley will be there too.

I'm registered. I'm up against a 1995 BMW M3.

There's usually a 1960s Mini and some early 2000s mustang in SM as well.

I think the M3 guy's name is Eason as well. He was there at a previous event running in SM. He runs rcomps. You'll be fine. In BSP I was about a second faster than him.

VERY very gravelly. Never really could get good grip. Otherwise pretty decent in size.

Compared to a postage stamp? Sure!

Lol

I'd run Pennington any day over this lot. I was not impressed with this event.

Ok it's not large but it's slightly larger than Pennington since they added the fence. But I think I would agree with you that Pennington is better -- given the poor quality of the surface in Mesquite.

I took first and my co-driver took second in SM.
Chris killed the Novice class and took first.
Jon was very fast in X-pro but Jeremy was cone hunting and scored well in that sense.
