hello -- new owner

I am new EVO IX owner and am loving the car so far. I need to install a hitch ... for very light towing.

I did some research on Hitch-web.com and they have them for other Lancer models. After looking at the installation diagram and under the car ... it looks like it willo fit ... i am just worried that it might not fit under the bumper. Here is the link for the three lancer options:

Anyone know of other options that are a sure thing or have thoughts on this one?

Much help appreciated.

Thanks,

EVO in San Diego, CA

Question for you.

Looks like you are towing a bike on a trailer around. I need the same setup to tow my bike around. Where did you get the tow hitch and was it for the regular lancer.
Thanks

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Just do what I did (and several others here have done), go to a good local welder and have them fab you up one for you car with your exhaust and strength needs.
Not hard

I guess but it would be a lot cooler to have it be a replacement peice for the rear crash beam so you could swap it out with just a few bolts if you ever wanted to. I just want to be able to throw a nice bike rack on the thing for my mnt bikes.

I really do like this setup! This would work fine for auto-x with a small trailer. Much better than putting tires on the seats and if you have a rollbar - forget about using rear seats at all.

Anyone know how this setup was accomplished?

Does anyone know
