AMS At Autobahn NASA Time Trial

July 22, 23 (Yep this coming weekend) The AMS Time Attack Evo will be running at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL.

The two NASA Time Trial days are two of the five that AMS needs to qualify for the NASA National Championships in September, and if AMS is one of the top two fastest cars of the weekend, then we will be qualified for the Super Street Time Attack at Buttonwillow Raceway in California in November.

Cool, pretty awesome that you guys are actually running time attacks with the time attack car that you built.

(waits for a pissed off David Buschur to announce his entry as well...)

The official schedule isn't out yet, but I figure we will be getting four sessions per day, probably 20 min each. Two before lunch two after, etc..

There seems to be a $5 charge for people to get in, but I haven't been able to tell yet if you have to be a NASA member, doesn't seem like it at this point.

Cool. Post the times if you know in advance. I'd like to watch at least a couple of the runs.

No times yet, I will post them up as soon as I find them, but you do not have to be a NASA member to come out and watch.

Bring $5 to pay the track to get in, and make up some posters or something to wave/hold up from turn 1 when I go by

This weekend's schedule:

AMS Evo will be running in highlighted groups.

Warning, because of the volitile nature of motorsports, all times are tentative, sessions may even go off early, (though with no clean up time built in, i doubt it) Still... early is your friend if you are planning to come out and watch.

It was cool to see the T.A. monster and Martin's Evo tear up the track. Sorry that I didn't stay longer....Saturday was a rough night.
