This is our customers british drag monster . We did 4 x 9.7/9.8 passes in 1 hour running just 5500rpm of the line . All AMS /Shep/evo400/dentist built .
The guys here told us it would never cut the mustard !!!

We run a surge tank in the Time Attack Evo which has spent the majority of its time on the street. 4000 miles were put on the car in one week during the 1 Lap of America competition. With a plastic fuel tank which is impossible to sump, a surge tank makes perfect sense in a drag racing application.
There is no draw back to a surge tank setup. Safety is not an issue if its mounted in a good location.
