Those lifters appear to be the same that come stock in an evo or a 2g eclipse . They have the bigger oiling holes. This would be an upgrade for a 1g retaining stock lifters

I believe the "idea" behind the larger bore of the oil passage is to help get rid of lifter tick and false knock triggered by such. I've heard of these working for the UK guys.

Actually the 2G DSM doesnt have these standard. This revised lifter got rid off "lifter tick" in both my 2G DSM's and my 1G.

I'm not sure about the EVO but the revised lifter does help in those cases.

The 2g does have them, its started in 99. They are commonly refered to 99 style lifters. Again I would not waste my money on them. We have stock lifters on our drag car and our Time attack car.

Thanks Eric..... And if my stock lifter are ticking from a poor job instaling cams. Then what lifters should i go with and could you get them if they are the stock one you recommend.

Thanks

Our lifters sometimes become noisy in short periods of time. Sometimes they can be removed, bled down and reinstalled and sometimes they need to be replaced. I cant see a cam job causing any harm to your lifters, in fact you dont even need to remove them to replace the cams. I would check the cams to make sure they are compatible with stock valve springs, and dont have excessive lift which may cause coil bind or the retainer to hit the seal or guide.

A bunch of people have bought these and reported the ticking is GONE. Reliable people nonetheless.

Anyway, are stock 99 lifters $160 for the set like the JAM ones/

that price seems about right for non-oem ones. Mitsu ones are like 25$ a piece
