AMS Starts its Second Time Attack car TA2
We have learned alot of the past year with our Time Attack car and we have done alot better then we expected: TTU National Champs, WWII overall Champ. Evo Tuner challenge unlimited 1st place, Redline TA first place finish,etc..........BUT..we can do better
AMS is building another one and we are applying everything we have learned over the past season and putting it into effect on the new TA2 (pronounced Tattoo) Car.
We have a shell here that is being stripped as we speak. After its disection process we will send it to be acid dipped. Following her Stay in the hot Tub we will Seam weld the car and go from there. This last season was fun but its time to get serious.
Here are some tear down pictures from today:

what are you guys doing for motor, turbo, drivetrain etc...? or is it gonna be a secret?
what are the benefits of spot welding the frame? i noticed a few race cars doing the process?

their not going to spot weld(I hope not) usually a stitch weld with a mig- It will juin all the pieces into one solid frame- by the way ams, omp has some serious road race cages that include the pillar sheets,etc...(plus they look bad az. I dont know if they make them for lhd though.....hmmmmm

I can't wait to see it all done, I love these builds were You can see progress being made, from nothing. Keep up the good work, Looks like You are taking this car very serious.
