Here is a great comparison guys.
This is my evo with the following mods compared to my STi
2006 EVO IX SE
Boost: spikes to 23 drops very quickly after that
AF: low 11's
AMS Turbo Back exhuast
AMS FMIC
AMS LICP
Blitz panel filter
AMS MBC
GSC 272 exhuast cam (back when the IX cams were not out yet)
Megan O2 housing
AMS Flash
You can see where the bigger turbo comes into play on the evo. It tapers off as well but not nearly as bad as the STi. Torque is leaps above the EVO though. In the future I plan on putting an FP green on it until we get our turbo kit established.

That graph is actually not a valid comparison. You see where the two blue lines cross at about 57mph, that is ~5250RPM. You see where the two green lines cross at about 64mph, that is ~5250RPM. If you move the green lines to the left about 6-7mph so the two crossings match up then you will have a better idea of the difference between the two cars. When you do that you will see the EVO makes more HP than the STI at about 6000 RPMs and above. In a drag race it would probably win.
You can tell the graphs are screwed up because at 75mph it shows the EVO up about 25hp, but down on TQ compared to the STI. This is not possible. Can you post up a comparison graph with RPM as the X-axis rather than MPH?

I was wondering that as well. Eric is simply posting up numbers of his car with very little mods.
Did he once say, my STI is better than your EVO?

Here it is with RPM. Keep in mind the STi 3rd gear is much shorter than the EVO so spool up is roughly the same on the STi on this dyno comparison, but if you look at MPH you can see it does spool earlier (smaller turbo, more disp). The EVO has much more power up top and you should shift the STi at roughly 6-6.2K RPM if drag racing it. For EVO in this state wins at the drag strip. From first hand experience the STi powerband does work better for road racing(unless you're at Road America) and autocrossing.

Regardless what people say, Those Numbers coming out of an STI with a Hairdryer for a turbo are pretty good numbers. The thing i like about the STI more is the ablility to retain the stock housing and turbo location up to 450 on pump. Just my 2 cents. I think its a great car.
But then again, you put any 4 stroke motor in front of AMS it will put down 50 % more power with minimal mods.

+1 and it seems as if everybody is hating for what idk i wouldnt even trade my 03 for an 07 STI. Be comfoprtable with what u have u drive an evo what 30,000 dollar car you know that can hang with the best of them road racing drag racing etc. just my 2 cents

I would like to see what an 07 would do with cams and fp green. APS tsr55 would also be killer on an 07. AMS makes me want an evo through their R&D, but I am glad to see they show some interest in the STI.

I'm sure the STI is a great car.
What I don't get is why this is such a big deal?
So Subaru finally got it right their last year out. Great! And they did it with .5L over the Mitsu.
I'm confused as to why the TQ is such a surprise with the extra .5L?
Either way it's nice to see that the STI can finally put down some decent numbers for cheap.
