lol @ 3000ways always getting butthurt. evofanboi #1...too bad you're not a car enthusiast as many of your fellow evo owners are.

i have much respect for the evo. test drove one before i bought my sti and loved it. i'm just more drawn to the sti. between the 04-07 sti, the thing that makes the 07 most potent in the 1/4 is the revised 4th gear. 04-06 sti's can only get up to ~107mph in 4th while the 07 can get up to ~117mph i believe. i really wish we had bigger turbos from the factory

in the 1/4, the evo is still on top but with the new gearing in the 07 sti...i'm sure there'll be more sti's giving you evo owners a run for your money but then again, who cares about the 1/4?

and big ups to ams for seeing what they can do with a subie!

Oh, and they think thats the ****... I mean seriously... is there any reason to have so much hatred towards compitetion? ...

Eric,

If you have a chance, toss an external wastegate on that green. The internal gates are TERRIBLE on subarus on the top end. Helix makes a very affordable uppipe option that a Tial 38mm bolts on to. (we have one with your name on it incase Helix is out currently, like always). If you elect to control boost via Reflash then you may want to pick up a Prodrive boost solenoid, work great with EWGs.

I've driven and worked on both Subarus and EVOs. They each have their highs and lows. Keep the good work up and watch out for your ring lands

well, I know first hand about greens, a few bolt ons and 07 sti's...I'm just curious as whether or not they went with the 3" inlet green and are deleting the TGV's since they tend to get in the way
also highly recommend the EWG but I imagine that will be better suited for before and after results. I the engineer/design world, take one step at a time.

the sound is all in the header design, not necessarily the boxer engine

There are plenty of 20g and Green results but I can't wait to see what AMS does!

On my old 2004 STi with a 7cm 20g - 44lb/min I was able to make as much as 350whp with the stock TMIC on pump gas 19psi, and up to 380whp on pump when I added the FMIC. 19-20psi. All Ecutek.

On C16 it made 396/425 with a leaky bov, then a couple months later fixed that issue and made 424whp and 452wtq, again, 20g 7cm with the internal wastegate (using UTEC map)

The latest tune before I sold it made 390whp/385wtq with a 44mm EWG added and much better boost control on pump 93 oct. I never got around to a C16 retune.

Best track times were 11.7 @ 116 (396whp tune) 1.70 60ft C16 boosting 20psi at the Rock. At Commerce with C16 and 22psi with 424/452 tune was 11.9 @ 118 ( 1.9 60 ft bald tires!) and with topend break up.

It trapped 96mph through the 1/8th on that run so it was headed for low 120's before the UTEC related issues pulled the plug.

I have NO DOUBT that AMS will find the best potential of the STi considering what they have done with the fantastic EVO platform.

I hear you add quite a bit of noticeable turbo lag when you add a fmic to the rex's because theres so much intercooler piping that needs to be filled...

Thanks for all the interest guys! I didn't expect this on the EVO board. I am pretty proud that our customers are so open to general sport compact performance.

Stephen, thank you for the recomendation and the offer, I will keep that in mind. we are already in the early phases of designing our own EWG Up-pipe. I do want to see what she can do with the FP green high psi actuator first though. Also I opted for the 2.4" inlet becuase we want to do a before and after test with the 2.4 and then the 3.0 with the tumbler delete. You know AMS Test, Test and Retest

Eric
