AMS Manifold & Upper Radiator Hose solution?

Anyone have one, right now I am running the slip over heat cover but I don't think it is going to last long as it is showing alittle bit of burning. I was wondering if there is someone who has a upper radiator hose option that can withstand the heat in silicone or aluminum for sale? Just figured I would ask to see what everyone else did before I come up with my own solution.

i never had a problem with mine, are you sure your radiator is not out of place, or the car ever have front end damage. it should not be touching the exhuast manifold, but close.

I bought the car new, it has never had any frontend damage of any sort, I am running a koyo rad which is a bit thicker I believe. Its not that what they supplied woudln't work for while probably, it doesn't touch just very close. I am wondering if there is somthing better becuase I wouldn't think that everyone running an AMS kit is using only the one little piece.

Did u ever trim the hose shorter? Ivan from AMS said to cut about 1/2 an inch off the hose to help pull it straighter and away from the manifold.

Both seems like reasonable solutions so thanks.

Procco, who made the upper radiator pipe for you?

though a straight metal line from the radiator to the thermostat housing seems like the best route- motor shifting will lead cracked pipes- theres a reason why our stock line has zig zags

I used exhaust/header tape from NAPA. Seems to do the job.

Below are some pics of mine, I have not trimmed the upper rad hose and if this is what AMS recommends I think it might work. I would like to contact and see ETS's hard pipe solution. You will notice in my pics that it isn't touching but it is very close so it is touching at times I would suspect. Nothing has melted, just trying to be proactive.

I also recall reading a post from AMS where they recommended cutting about 1" off the radiator hose to pull it away from the manifold. It looks as though that would help a lot.

I also wanted to note, the stock line has zig zags to avoid the intake snorkel, not for engine movement. I straight flexible line will allow for engine movement, as will a straight metal line with silicone connectors at each end.
