IF it was a daily driver... i'd get rid of it... I mean a GT42R on a STREET CAR... Granted you could just swap turbo's but that would require more work than being worth it (aka swap manifold, wastegate setup, etc...) and I personally think that his GT35R setup was amazing. THE BIGGEST i'd go on a street car is a AMS37R ... and even that woud be pushing it for a street car... I mean whats wrong with 650awhp ... seriosuly ... isn't running 10's fast enough

The problem is when you get into builds that big you always want more.... I loved his vids before but him putting a GT42R on a 2.3l was a waste I think.

The car had no A/C either which didn't help with hot Fla. summers, but of course they said that was a non issue.

I don't think so a 42R is too big for the street.

Does anyone know where Chris is though? What car is he driving? He stated in his for sale thread he was trying to purchase a house, thats why he was selling.

Whats the biggest turbo you would go on a 2.3l?

The 2.3 stroker and the 35r is the ultimate setup IMO. I loved his car then. The gt42r was just something he wanted because he had to compete with high 800-900 hp supras, cobras...etc Sad to see it gone though.

I am plenty happy with my 35r on my 2.3l but I am going to get a 37r to experiment around with and see how it is against the 35r... You can make more power with a 37r but you have a more "usable" powerband with a 35r...

If he wanted to play with those kind of cars then he should had gone with a 2.0 or 2.1 with that 42r and took it to 9500-10500 rpm
