Sooo...after some comparison it looks to be the same core used on their X intercooler which is 12.4 x 20 x 3.5in. Although the same size as their current VIII/IX core it looks to be a different design (more charge rows but slimmer)

The new style will still use the same core, just different end tanks so horsepower will be very similar. The race/drag intercooler uses a larger core and will handle more power still.

Are you going to have any release info on this? Any data to support the endtank on why it may be better? How is the airflow going to change? Is it going to utilize the core more efficient than the center entry/exit design? These are questions I am looking at to be answered. Hopefully an announcement touching on these changes is going to be made soon?

The aiflow entry and exits on this end tank are much smoother and with the end tank design this would be just as effective as a center entrance/exit end tank...which btw would be very hard to do on an evo and require new piping.
Good news is that the last of our sheetmetal cores are being packed up and ready to leave the building. This means we are days away from announcing the new core.
