Thoughts on Carbon Fiber

Well my car looks pretty basic on the outside. Its rally red, and im all about saving some weight. I was thinking Carbon fiber trunk with no wing, and Carbon fiber roof. and maybe a hood (i thought the CF hood was heavyer?) i would like to know what peoples feedback would be on this. would it look good or tacky being all CF top half.

Use fiber images for the trunk and hood....FEATHERWEIGHT!

And of course our CF Roof.

Ya the carbon fiber hood is heavier, thats why i got the carbon fiber trunk and then a fiberglass hood(extremely light).

...and how would you explain a fiberglass hood being lighter than a true carbon fiber hood? ...(not CF over fiberglass)

Most carbon fiber hoods on the market are fiberglass backed. Only some of the higher end pieces are good lightweight stuff.

not true, it depends on whos hood and trunk you go with. We have Fiber images makes us a race version of their hood and trunk and they are much lighter then the stock stuff.
