Whats up man, working on a new bottom end right now but the turbo sold like 5minutes after I posted it. I'm so torn right now between the HTA and 850R. They seem to both be good turbos but I guess I'm scared to make a final decision till I see a back to back comparison. If the 850R is 400rpms or more laggier than the HTA35R it wouldn't be worth it to me.

^^^^ waiting to see mine ^^^^

Its hard to see it compare side by side, because different car has different setups. But if they do the compare with the same car and just change out the turbo will be good. Good luck , Did you see my car lately? I was looking forward to see you there when we where there . Hey I'm moving to Florida in 2 weeks. We got to get together. So you can show me around. lol see ya

don't you just straight line race the car? if so the 850R would be the winner hands down...400 rpm's of lag will never be seen if you know what you're doing...

if you do roadrace, then ignore the previous comment

I however am waiting as I'll be road racing my setup and the 850R would increase my turbo response out of a corner in trade for an extended RPM (outflow a 35R) and thus more time in gear on a straight.

I would say road race, also most of my time being in the car wouldn't be at the track. I guess I pretty much know what I should use as I'm looking more along the lines of fun. I guess if I wanted to be the fastest in a straight line I need to build a 2l and rev it high with a big turbo but thats not what I want.

I'm after the quick burst of power and that nasty Yank, that makes the passenger panic I also was hoping for a little more w/o sacrificing much low end but it would seem I'm at a fork in the road.

Waiting on results, but IMO, it's hard to beat a FP Red for the street. Faster spool than a HTA35R and still 600whp capable.

Haha thats funny that you say that. Do you know anything about dynos? Did you know that all dynos dont read the same? FYI dynojet's are known to read higher then a mustang. BuschUR made 724whp on a HTA86 on their low reading mustang dyno. I'd like to see the 850r make that kind of power on a low reading mustang dyno. I've only seen one car with a 850r go into the 9's.
