Congrats AMS and nice job driving Eric! Going by the timeslip, it appears you nailed the run until it decided to drop a hole and limp the rest of the way.

Don't forget - you also just reset the AWD gas record.

no actually. This was really last minute and was on the cosworth head and our drag plenum VSR.

We are going to be putting on the AMS CNC cylinder head here in the next week or two. The F1-i is still a bit out at the moments. We are estimating just before Christmas.

AMAZING Performance from Team AMS!!!!

I am sure there are faster times coming. You guys are now dipping to the low 8s and leaving everyone else behind, first time out for the yr, incredible.

Congrats guys.

The Drag Evo is by no means pump gas...

Or are you talking about another AMS Car?

He said Gas, as in a Gasoline based fuel (race gas). There are few going this fast without the use of Methonal or Ethonal.

Yeah, not sure how fast, or how much anybody else is even going to try and compete, maybe a V8 to go with the ford rear end in the other cars ?

Performance calculator shows if you maintained your rate of speed based on the 1/8 mile mph (137), your time should have been 7.82 at 169.34 mph. Given your 1000' time of 7.08, the calculator drops it significantly to 8.53 at 155 mph. Certainly a low, low 8-second pass.
