Wow, that would've been amazing. Right now I think everyone is shocked still because I would consider the 8.4 smashing the old record.

I got a text as soon as the pass was made. It just said 8.42!!! And I knew exactly what it was lol, but didnt know it went down a cylinder until I got home and talked to Jones. This is just amazing on gas, no spray with 4th gear on 3 cylinders and backing off for a sec. Truely impressive.

PS. I see 7s in the future

NHRA changed their chassis certs. a few years ago. What once was good as a Sportsman Cert - good to 7.50 et. is now only good to 8.50 et. If you want to cert. to 7.50 now a "funny car" cage is mandatory around the driver. If you then want to go up to 7.50, but over 180mph you have a different cert. which requires additional tubing. Any quicker than 7.50 up to 6.00 it needs to be all chrome moly tubing, etc.......

The video is in the works now and its some of Rich's best work yet.

We need another couple of hours to totally finish it.

As far as getting it out to the track again this. HELL YEAH WE ARE!
