Surely that is not meant to be a gurney flap...

If you wanted a gurney flap on a diffuser, wouldn't you point it down? If they have air flowing over the top of the diffuser, it would kinda defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?

Putting it on the bottom of something wing shaped or flat would create lift, you want it on the top just like on the rear wings.

This looks like that is how this car will be working, some diffusers are just funneling air out, some are acting like a wing and actually pushing down from the top too.

Chad you don't happen to know or would be willing to share what changing the width of the tunnels in the diffuser does do you?

I remember seeing the C6R in person and being in awe at first off how many individual tunnels it had under the diffuser but also the various sizes and shapes of them.

Seems to me that the top of the diffusers shown is tied into an open or vented rear bumper. Is everyone seeing that much air pressure in the area between the diffuser and trunk floor that it needs to be vented? In the case of the C6R, it is built to the race series spec, so it might make sense there, but I would think that on a TA car, you'd want to seal the bumper and make sure that any and all airflow ends up under the diffuser, not above it.

I think its just a matter of not being able to easily seal up that portion of the car but I am not sure.

I understand what your saying Ludi about having it act as a pure diffuser and not a "wing" like element as well by having air go over the top, but it seems that lots of people are running them this way currently.
