AMS sponsored Evo takes 2nd in NASA TT @ Putnam May/2009
This was actually a crossover with the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, so a ton of cars. TT had nearly 40 for the 1.8 mile track! http://www.putnampark.com/
This was my first NASA TT event of the year. I competed in a few events last year in TTA as that's just where my car slotted given the misc mods I had performed. Since my 'debut' I have slowly prepped it better, gained a few sponsors and tried to further improve my skills!
For 2009 I decided to slide down to TTB. Yes, I actually decided to demod the car a bit both to fit into what I thought was a better class for my car and for my pocketbook! Results are good thus far and TTB might have been the largest TT group so it's always nice to have competition! Big props to the guys at AMS for the great tune (my constant questions) and eye-catching graphics. The car gets nothing but compliments. If you want to know the background, just ask or check out my BLOG.
Saturday:
Some light mist in S1/S2, S3 totally wet (everyone skipped), and S4 the best. Around 65 most of the day. Ended up with a 1:22.2 and placed 2/6. Contingency $$ from Hoosier and Hawk! I missed first by about 1 second to a much higher hp car.
Sunday:
Good weather all day. Improved to a 1:21.5
The vid is some of the starts to show the cars in the group, some of the PITA traffic we have to deal with - and then 2 of my best laps.

I also video'd a little of one of the Saturday races. Mostly from T10 leading onto the main straight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzDMI0XR-oM
Loaded up about to head home.

Finally found footage that NASA shot while at the event:

Yep, I got interviewed and they ran a camera in my car. I think the fancy graphics really pulled them in. Thanks AMS!
