The AMS EVO X MR/Ralliart SST Transmission oil cooler kit is the first of its kind for the SST transmission. Many SST owners know all too well the problems plagued with the 6 speed dual clutch automatic transmission in the EVO X MR and Ralliart. Overheating is a common occurrence when driven hard. The AMS Trans. cooler helps to prevent that by using a high quality larger capacity heat exchanger with a fan that pulls air through the core the entire time the car is running. This helps to keep transmission temperatures in check and keep that pesky “slow down” light on the dash from coming on so often.

This may be a stupid question but will the tranny cooler have clearance if you have an ams lower ic pipe installed?

We don't make a lower intercooler pipe for the Ralliart. However the stock EVO X lower intercooler pipe is an upgrade for them and our cooler fits with it.

So what are the test results of this vs. the stock cooler (i.e. tracked time/laps on stock vs. AMS upgrade)?

Your product description says it helps keep the "slow down" warning (SST overheating) from coming up so often. The "so often" part concerns me and makes me think the SST still overheats even with this upgraded cooler.

I know the AMS SST cooler upgrade is about half the price of others out there that claim the SST will never overheat with their kit, but I would still like to know how much better than stock this kit really is.
