if surface area was a key feature why did you guys make is so small then? 20 inch's long VS most at 24/25 long. Nisei comp core is 25 inch's long and still fits the crash beam. BR core's are 24 inch's long.

Bigger isn't always better. They kept the same core because there wasn't much to improve on. I missed the part where AMS said "surface area is a key feature"

I actually think my older version AMS intercooler looks better then that on my VIII.

I agree i dont like the looks of this cor but it has a great thing about it....that they use a true garret core and the old one didnt not....they said have extended the intercooller to fit the front bumper better like ets and even my sbr which is a monster and a awesome peice never had heat soak..

We do not use Garrett cores for our FMIC's. We did a lot of research finding a private company to produce our cores for us.

can you post some R&R or back to back testing vs other cores u say you tested so we can see the info. sell me this FMIC other then just saying it did this or that. ''not ment in a mean way''
