AMS 1000WHP GT-R build....lots of pics :)

You think you can make a GTR have over a 1000 whp with $150k...... I think you are going to be sorely mistaken on that one.... With everything that they have to do on top of just the HP I think that is a good down payment - LOL

anyways, this thread is not about how much, its about how AMS is gonna kick some A$$ and show these guys that you can race around a real track with that much power just as well....
Are we going to see a parachute on this car?
I might have missed it but are you going to be handling the driveline and engine or are you guys going to look into full suspension, brakes, etc etc.
I know this is a really stupid question but is this car just being built for drag or is this going to try and be a mulit purpose 1000whp car?

lol we might have to do just that
This car will have a chute for the track and we will be touching all areas of this car..suspension included. JRZ's will adorn the wheel wells. This car is being built as an all around car....that just happens to make 1000whp.
We are targeting completion in mid march for GT-R nationals in Texas.
I hope to have more pics up after the holidays. Right now we are waiting on the engine to get back from the machine shop.

If the Japanese are impressed by 1000+hp R33's and R34's then they'll be impressed by this build. No car ever lost it's "integrity and worthiness" by producing high HP. Yes the GTR's (past and present) are built more for the road course, all Japanese cars are, but this hasn't stopped the world from making them into freaks of nature that produce WELL over 1000hp on the dyno.
I'm not saying they'll be in a rush to try to replicate or exceed this build, but any real auto enthusiast should be thrilled to see the newest GTR follow in the footsteps of it's predecessors.

Why does it matter where you live or if someone is Japanese or not??? Any auto enthusiast of Japanese cars (weather they live in Japan, the U.S. or under a freakin rock) should be thrilled to see a company building, what may very well be, the sickest street car ever built!
