Hmm, 13 1/2 hrs, 1141kms (709 miles), sounds like a road trip! I'm down.

 

Can you take a ferry across the pond into Michigan? I just recently did the trip from London, ON to home which is 5 miles from AMS and it was a breeze. Just don't try to bring any kinder eggs into the states.... I'll take a double double from Hortons and a case of coffee crisps.
