AMS Powered 929 Evo - Midseason Update!
Hello all. Pretty much at the halfway point in the NASA season so I figured it was a good time for an update.
2011 brought a new tune, new suspension and an attempt at aero. We started 2011 with a pair of testdays. The above pic is how the car looked in early April. Since then we've been feeling out the changes, trying some new configurations, playing with pressures and wing settings, etc. To this point we've had 4 competition weekends running in NASA TTA.
2011 Midseason Results
- 8 out of 8 --> 1st place finishes
- 4 out of 4 --> track records
We've had some pretty phenomial results this year with the car! We've had to deal with some pretty crappy weather; rain, sleet, and temps ranging from 38 ambient to 85 with humidity thus far. The car hasn't missed a beat. It's been on track since a few months into it's existence and now totals 24,000 miles and over 70 days on track! Still on the stock motor, stock trans, stock turbo, stock bottom end, etc. But countless sets of tires and front brake pads! lol.
This year in TTA trim the car makes around 360whp on the stock turbo; AMS tuned of course (thx again Chris). My min class weight is 3263 including driver. For specific mods, check out the blog: http://boomn29.blogspot.com/p/car-setup.html
I post writeups from every event, including vid and a few pics. if you wanna check any of them out below are all the links so far for 2011.

So far we've tested a few different configurations. And by different configs, I mean different assortments of modifications on the car. This is because in NASA TTA-TTF classes you only have a certain # of modification pts to spend on your car. So you have to pick the right assortment. And you're free to show up at every event with a different setup if you like! Below is a pic from the last event.
If you've got any questions, go ahead and post up. Or feel free to follow the blog or twitter. I usually post times throughout race weekends to twitter if you're interested! Help root me on in the quest for a 2011 TTA National Championship in September!
