Chronicles of Lancer Car Accidents

Yes its true, a car accident, another famous rear ender.

Girlfriend was driving the car and like a magnet for trouble, that 2 week old bumper got a direct hit.

My girlfriend is ok, other then the stiff neck and a headache to come when she wakes up tomorrow. But so far I havent seen it and I am sure the thought of crying will pass thru my mind lol joking

the important thing is my girlfriend is ok.

I will find out if the damage is only skin deep. lol but I was surprised to hear that from the strong impact the rear bumper held together in one peice, but shattered like fiberglass would.

sounds like someone not paying attention,

She was in the middle of an intersection waiting for the chance to turn left. and bang. thats it, a 40kmph hit most likely.

bodyshop figures are already getting high.

the labor on this was crazy. if they want to do this again for the sponsored price they did it for last time, they would tell me to go jump in a lake. And I dont blame them. so this is the normal flat rate.

The thing with fiberglass you can do anything with it, but once it breaks, its game over. it can be repaired but the cracks could comeback, crack somewhere else due to weakness you just dont know. at this point its just better to buy a new one. I could get away with selling this to someone who is into fiberglassing. cause you could just fabricate the areas that need replacing.

Bodyshop rather start over on a fresh canvus

he is a 17 year old kid, I actually am the one giving him a chance, my girlfriend wanted to go straight to insurance. I met with him last night, he agreed to pay by Tuesday if not, I go thru insurance. he has signed a contract document admitting fault, there was a passenger witness in my girlfriends car at the time, there was a witness on the street that also came forward. If this goes to insurance, my insurance company will fully comply and pay me out and request the money from his insurance. there is no debating nothing, its game over once you get a signed confession/agreement.

His insurance is screwed for the next 7 or 8 years of his life if I report it. So he has a good incentive to play nice and pay up
