Has anyone considered the 4G63 as a good swap candidate? I mean why should we not be able to put the evo engine in our car?

If you put a 4G63 DOHC head onto a 4G94 2.0L you'd basicly have an evo engine. Some internals would have to be updated.

I've been considering doing this to my ES, but have not yet done the neccesary research to tell you if it's possible or not. One day someone will do it (if possible), thats for sure.

My buddy has a 98 eclipse GSX, He is considering taking out his motor to swap in the generation 1 block total rebuilt and blueprinted. When he pulls his engine I am going to go look long and har and measure and see if it is possible to slide the engine in. If the engine fits is my only concern I know it will need custom mounts to be fabricated and I know i will be blazing a trail for all of us wanting the swap, I mean I know I love my car by I am aching for it to have some *****!!!!!!! It would be a dream.

very cool indeed but it will work if you have the cash to do it plus it has the setup of intake on the opisite side and all would be alot of manufacturing for it alot of money!!

4G63 swap has been done. Using a DSM motor I believe. Not sure who or where though.

OK, I was looking to see if an evo engine would fit in the OZ. And from what i read, im guessing it does? anyone got an estimate on the money you'd have to put down to accomplish this?

No it doesnt. With enought money and skills you can get it to fit but....

The engine is faced the opsiote way
None of the mounts will line up

A better swap option would be the RalliArt Engine.
Or spend your money on a nice RIPP Mods supercharger.

You have to realise that Mitsubishi Lancers are not honda Civics. You can just put any part in it cause it has a Mitsu logo like you can with most honda stuff. Currently I have heard of NO (0) sucessfull swaps in North America.
