Importing Evo X
I'm looking to import a brand new 2011 evo x from RC hill mitsu. I've imported a used vehicle before so I know the process.
Talking to the sales rep, he says that the new car will have to be titled in Canada. But what I've done before is fax the title to US customs 72 hrs before import. So I'm confused, how do I cross the border without a title?

a friend of mine just bought an Evo X from the states 2-3 months ago. brand new off the dealership lot. apparantly he had a few problems with the title also. i dealership was suppose to provide him the title to the car so that it could be exported, but there was a problem with it.
I think the dealership presented the title to be exported without filing the export papawork and wait the 72 hrs so the car go held back.
Hes in a place i cant mention right now so when i see him i will ask him.

my friend got his car through ok. he bought a brand new Evo X MR from a dealer in washington.
the dealership screwed up with the title. they did not have it to the exportation office 72hours prior so he had to wait. ofcourse his warranty will not be honored. 3rd party is a good idea....especially the MR.
the 6 month ownership on title is only on select company. I know Nissan is one. for you to have warrantly on your new Nissan GTR you must have it titled in the USA in YOUR NAME and ADDRESS for at least 6 months before transferring it to Canada.
