B.C. Motor Vehicle Act regulations regarding lights etc

I find this pretty helpful when trying to determine what I can and cannot do to my car. For example it tells me that for signal lights and parking lights, white is perfectly legal so I'll know what to say to cops when getting pulled over.

2) A lamp type turn signal system must

(a) have 2 lamps, mounted on the front of the vehicle, that are capable of displaying flashes of white or amber light which are visible to the front,

(b) have 2 lamps, mounted on the rear of the vehicle, that are capable of displaying flashes of red or amber light which are visible to the rear,
DOes this mean that rear turn signals cannot be white...but front ones can????

i tought you can have white turn in the rear

Thats right, amber and red in the rear only, but amber or white in the front.
I guess red in the front would be out too.

Where do you get the white (for the front) and Red (for the back) signal lights. Didn't find them at Pacific Mall. I'd like to get rid of the amber.

I went there. They only have the amber ones. And even the amber ones, they only had a few for our Lancers.

Archer, I ordered all my bulbs online at *************************. I'm going to be placing an order soon if you'd like to chip in with me and save shipping, it's quite expensive for small orders.

Remind me to show you my bulbs on Monday, I have LED-array bulbs for my front turn signals, and whites for the sides.

cool. Yes, I'll chip in with you. And I'll check out your lights on Monday.

LED array? What color does it emit?

It's one bulb which contains an array of 20 LED's, but the housing is entirely clear, only when they light up it's amber. On that site, it's called the "Matrix" LED bulb I think.

Be careful you guys. I've found some of those types are too wide to fit through the opening into the light housing.

i got mine at Canadian Tire. I got some APC bulbs that were very close and I lightly filed sown one of the nubs (you know at the bottom of the bulb to fir in the groove). They fit perfect after that and I have had them on for over a year now.

JTC, on that website, which one/what is the bulb number for our signal lights front and back.

Here's what I want to do with the signal lights. I want white (not white looking bulbs with amber lumination) in front and red (possibly white with red lumination) in the back. Gord has the red one at the back.

thanks
