Why stop at 4" cones?! For a few dollars more you can have a 9-1/2" base with a 4" opening Yes, it is almost too much filter. No your engine can't take in TOO much air.

BTW- that ducting stuff works. I cleaned my filter last week and the side and bottom of the filter were WAY dirtier than the top, leading me to believe the duct was actually feeding air from the front vent to the filter.

Let's see the creations!!

Everything is custom made.

The adapter is not a reall adapter. I used to have a Ford Tempo with that filter. There is not a company in the world that makes part for Tempos'. I got a second MAF for the scrap yard, cut it in half and slapped a filter on it..

When it came time to put it on the Lancer though... That was a no fit. I shaped a piece of wood and drilled the Lancer's maf screw holes, then I attached that piece of wood to my Tempo's adapter. It's gettho as hell, but it serves its' pupose

The wood is wrapped with a whole bunch of ductape to make sure there is no wood particuls that go in the engine.

My custom intake

I have ideas for the OZ short ram intake, good budget yet smart and beneficial. I also "assembled" my intake for mr RA. It also gives you a good feeling when you express yourself when you customize, and or mix-and match things.

Green Archer, PM me!
