Boost spike after shift

So I was doin some logging lately ( I'm on stage 2 Cobb ap with a tbe with a testpipe, intake, and uicp) and the 3rd gear pulls look great( 24.5-25.5 with little to no knock) though right when I shift to 4th and go wot again, the logs show me spiking to almost 29 psi for a few frames ( starts to drop then) does anyone else have this issue? I'm hesitant to go LWG since my 3rd gear pulls are at target boost... Any advice?

(p.s there is no knock when it spikes)

I'd honestly say it's fine; my guess is it won't spike as high once the temps warm back up. Have you considered getting a protune?

Haha cool, and I have considered, it's just I still plan on getting an intercooler, and also just cant afford any of it right now haha.

But you're saying it's not dangerous?

I'm not going to say it's perfectly safe, but a quick spike in cooler weather with no knock isn't something I'd be overly concerned about, especially on a relatively stock car.

Mine does the same thing. Been doing it for a year or so with no issues. Grimmspeed 3 port and a pro tune should solve it if you're concerned though.

I'm seeing a 3-4 psi boost spike on 4th-5th upshifts and 5th-6th upshifts. The only work around that automatically keeps things safe is to reduce boost on my "high gear" tables which only effect 5th and 6th gears but that takes a good 20-30 whp away from my 375 whp NARRA tune which I sorely need to stay competitive. The other work around is to lift on upshifts into those high load gears but that is really distracting when concentrating on maxing out cornering speeds.

I'm going to try and turn on error correction to only allow downward correction and make sure my target loads are lower than actual between gear shifts.

I'm also going to raise my "lower bound ignition timing" tables so there is less timing drop during upshifts given that load usually spikes slightly and report back on results.
