I want to know what you constant evo drag racers think about how i launch. The best way i can figure out is to floor the gas and just before the needle catches 5 grand (and about 10psi of boost) i do the fastest slip i can possibly do, almost a drop but not quite. Everytime i launch like this the car takes off like it was shot out of a cannon and with no clutch smell.

However if i try to hold the revs consistant at any RPM and launch, i always bog because im not on boost. Do you guys hold consistant revs or do you floor it to dial up some boost when you launch?

hold rpm at 5000-5500 as the last yellow light comes on ..floor it and get out of the clutch FAST. too much clutch slip will kill the stocker VERY fast. A little tire spin is better than a lot of bog.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. If I hold a RPM and drop the clutch it bogs I get a good launch when I am flooring it as I let out the clutch
