just trying to figure out what trap speed you guys have reached with a no modded evolution 8?? i think i got a lemon on my hand, cause my top mph at the 1/4 is 93mph!! shifted at redline with many attempts. any ideas wtf i am doing wrong or what some problem this car might be having? a problem with fuel to air ratio? at the 1/8 mile, i am at a 75mph! any help would be appreciated.....

How's your traction, are you spinning on the box? You gotta think, your not accelerating until your tires stop spinning... I had this problem a few runs...

do you have a boost gauge? some people have complained that their evos did not hit 19psi in stock configuration

Worst stock times I ever saw (until now) were mine at 14.148 @ 96.17 in the 1/4 with a 9.035 @ 77.82 in the 1/8 mile. That was with a 1.930 60' time. Some EVO's are just slower than others stock. My best now is 12.378 @ 115.38 with a 8.023 @ 89.97 mph 1/8 mile time on a 1.989 60' time. My current goal is to run faster traps in the 1/8 mile than I was running in the 1/4 mile stock.... since I had a slow EVO stock that makes it easier to reach my goal

Keith

PS: Both times listed above were run at Milan Dragway in Michigan in cool weather.

Burningmoney- What the heck is wrong with your EVO??? I don't think it is 14.8 slow, but even with improvements you won't see any thing better than low 14s, a possible high 13. Still fourdoor has proven that alittle modifying can solve your problems (with more experience racing).
