Cobra vs. Evo

Has anyone raced a Cobra at the track 1/4 mile? I am wondering what the run stock and lightly modified. I have a friend that challenged me at the track.

yeah, they are pretty quick even stock, depends on the drivers ability to launch. i would wait till your modified if you want to win, if you don't care about that, go ahead and run him for fun, it will be close if he isn't a very good driver and you are very good at launching.

Lightly modified EVO's can take stock Cobra's no problem.

He only has exhaust, no pulley. The pulley is what I hear makes them evil.

i have a friend who goes 12.0 without nitrous and stock pulley.. 11.7 with a 60 shot and still on the stock pulley... even with cams, i didn't stand a slightest chance... from a stop or a roll.... and i pull 1.8 60 fts... thats when i had an evo

I guess I will find out. I have seen one cobra run at the track and he was unable to hook up. He was running 13.2's. I will ask the guys at the track to forget to spray VHT on the track until after we run.
