So I believe it will be pretty close, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took you. This is interesting change, but I believe if you raced him from a roll you would easily beat him, but from a dig you may lose. I guess the slicks/drag radials and the gears are the equalizers for AWD.
You know I don't know, why don't you just race him and let us all know who wins, I hate these threads because the people want predictions, which we give them and never get back to us with the results

Cool you did some research! Thanks for at least looking into it... I belong to racersden.net, there are alot of LS1s, Cobra's, etc, etc over there and they have this:

I have alot of friends who race LS1s, both auto's and 6spds. 430 hp with 500 ft/lbs can change EVERYTHING

hey dug-e-fresh... this is way off topic, but I passed a major wrx accident scene on the DC beltway sat. night. There were also a bunch of WRXs stopped on the side of the road. You know anything about it, or anyone involved? Definitely looked like a WRX/AWD/Turbo meet caravan of some sort...

i've seen a evo w/ nos beat a srt 10 by a hair and i have been in a Transam with 600+whp, now from feeling the TA's power, damn that car can move, but from seeing that race, makes me want an evo even more but the point is, muscle cars have mad power and putting them on slicks just makes them even more faster so i think you will have a very tough time being it though the awd makes a difference on take off but you better be a damn good driver to keep up

Cams make a huge difference. The Power to weight is on the EVOs side. The EVO also utilizes horsepower very effectively, and a 440AWHP should trap 120+, a 430RWHP should also trap 120+, so I don't really see how some are saying an EVO can't keep up with a Camaro from a roll. I believe it will be a close race either way, why underestimate the EVO, don't we have enough muscle car owners that do that???
Also you say ford sucks, well a lot of those 03/04 Cobras have no problem pulling away from Camaros.

My point is, it's not always about how much HP you make, but how it's used. Look at the many Supras that make 800RWHP+ and run low 10s/high 9s@135MPH+. Then look at Turbo Trix and Dyno Flash EVO, they make around 650-660AWHP and run 9s@135MPH+

mid 600 whp Supra's trap 135+
those 800-900 whp Supra's that trap 148-152 mph make about 600-650 whp on pump gas, and thats what they run around my way, 135-138 mph.
