12.22@109.19

Ok, after a day of working on the perfect launch with perfect shifting combined with trying to circumvent the 4th gear rev limiter at 111mph, I came up with these 2 runs:

12.22 @ 109.19 1.75 60'
12.24 @ 110.62 1.72 60'

I'm not sure how this works, but my very last run was the 12.24, and I had 0 clutch slippage or issues. I then packed up and went home and began to notice slippage in all gears. I let it sit overnight, then went again today for a regular drive, and it's still slipping in all gears, so I guess the last run did the final damage. I don't blame the clutch...yeah, it's a little weak, but I did about 35 passes with most being 1.7x. I didn't dump, nor slip excessively, but it still gave way. I'm actually looking forward to getting a stronger clutch in there, so I don't have to deal with the slow clutch engagement anymore, but I'm sure it'll be a pain until it's all installed and done.

Btw, I know someone will ask, so I'll tell you that the car on the right was a MKIV Supra with single T76 who ran 129-132mph all day long. He started out with 11.9s for a while, but eventually got it down to 11.2 on drag radials. He was a former 03 Buschur Stage 2 Evo owner, so we had a good time battling. It was me vs him for the finals, which is the timeslip on the right.

Yeah, I had managed to put the times and names together by now. Thanks for the props, but now I need a real clutch.

I would say that his times are not impossible but certainly there are not easy to achieve. It takes a talented driver to run that type of times, remember, he does not have much done to his car either.

Great job, well done, Warrtalon!!

what rpm are you launching at if u dont mind telling me. reason that i ask is because, as u know, i cant get rid of my 5k limiter. wondering what i could do at a higher rpm launch of my stock clutch.

Yeah, I get up to 6k before I engage the clutch. I can't do crap at 5k or below, but there are those who can.

The problem is that I did this near sea level and with boost control. If you convert my times to your elevation, then they are no longer impressive at all.

Speaking of I went out last night and ran 12.29@111 1.74 60ft on that run. I clutch slipped good on my first run but seemed to hold the rest of the night. Though i could smell it the whole tiime. Good times and I hope to see at a track some time. Would be a fun battle.

I didn't burn my clutch all day, nor could I ever smell it stink, yet somehow it went to **** about an hour after my last run. I still don't know how I got my best launch and ripped through the gears with no clutch slippage, yet it now slips in every gear with even the hint of boost. Oh well, maybe a 1.6x on an ACT HDSS will get me to 12.0-12.1.

Im gonna order my clutch next week and I just got some cams. i got a smokin deal on 264s., so I bought them. 11s here I come. Im thinking 11.7 with some more boost and a 1.60 60ft. I know its possible I saw a red evo with stock tires and 264s do it.
