I dont know much about Al but I do know that i talked with him on the forum earlier about adjusting my fuel settings so I wouldnt have to lean out using my AFC to -35% and he told me $70. My boyfriend went down to Chicago to meet him to get it done and Al told him the car was way beyond his ability. My boyfriend told him all he needed was to change the fuel settings across the board to compensate really roughly for the bigger injectors and Al told him he would need a full tune IF it would even help that much because the car has so many mods. He also mentioned interesting things like how an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator would make it almost impossible to tune (I dont get that one). All in all it pissed me off because he told me $70 and no problem and when it came time to do it he told him it was beyond his scope and could maybe do a LITTLE bit for $350-$400 but "honestly it wont be that great even after I tune it".

I understand I do have alot of aftermarket parts but if you can tune a car you can tune a car, it shouldnt matter what mods a person has. I understand that he needs to make his money but after you agree on a price you should stick with it... honestly is it that tough to gloabally change fuel settings? Maybe it is using the software he uses I dont know but he seems like a decent guy and a few people i know like him so there must be a good reason I dont really know Al so this isn't trying to make him out to be an @ss.. just my experience.

One last thing that i thought was very strange was after we agreed that he wasn't going to tune anything on the car, he mentioned that maybe I should go with an AEM EMS (Which he sells) and he said he would tune that for me as he tunes those as well. Strangely enough I thought was if he tunes them why doesnt he tune his own car? I was under the belief that Ivey did his tuning mainly for him. Again, this is just what I have heard and may not be true. Al would be able to asnwer things better and probably make sense of it all.

Again, Al seems like a good guy so please dont mistake this for trying to bash the guy. He obviously does good work for alot of people and seems to have good customer relations with most people. We just had a misunderstanding when it came to my fuel settings. I have used him before to raise my rev limit and get rid of fuel cut and everything went smoothly on that transaction.

Just take it to AMS .. esp. once they go from their 2WD dyno to an AWD.

Eric said something along the lines of in maybe 6 weeks, but I have no idea if that time-frame is set in stone, so-to-speak. I'd call him and find out, maybe get him to post something in the AMS forum.
