How do you figure anyone is crying? People come into this thread spouting heresay and second hand information that cannot/has not been backed up in the past six months or so that this has all been going on. Some people choose to take the car as far is it can go in stock or close to stock form before completely ripping it apart and rebuilding it. In certain cases this may be a good idea for some of the people on this board, wherein you improve your driving before throwing more money into it to make better numbers.

 

I saw no crying. He has the quickest and fastest KNOWN MR, much to my dismay...

 

like i said, this is not hearsay coming from my direction. i have his phone number if you would like it so you could ask him exactly what he pulled or if he could post up slips or a video to prove it then pm me and i will give you his number to end this flame war.

 

LOL.. this thread is funny... so 11.8 is that fastest MR on stock turbo??

 

Apparently Yes, that is the fastet stock turbo MR known and from what I read it is as fast as the other MR running 11.8 with a Turbo Garret Upgrade.

 

actually i believe that the mr with the ams kit ran 11.6 at import wars in my area still trying to get rid of all the bugs in the tune because the kit was installed and tuned the night before the races

 

but he was consistantly running 11.7-11.8 that day with the ams kit on

yes i can get the slip.. A customer of ours, running our SBR FMIC etc, ran 11.7 with the stock turbo spring of 2005 when he first got the car.. His name is Shawn and he has since sold the car and the turbo kit. But i can post the slip from if you like.

Yeah, Mark, please post the slip. We've never heard of anyone running that fast in an MR way back when they first came out, because you can't even go fast enough in 4th gear to hit 11.7 without raising your rev limit to 8200 or so, and that's not something many people do when still on the stock turbo.

I called him last night... he doesnt have the slip anymore.. You a DSMer, Leon knows of him and they posted all about it on the newengdsm board.. It was at Leons/Bruces local track. So there were many witnesses.. he had the car for a couple months, b/c he bought it right after the track closed.

Utec/Afc--cant remember which he had on when he ran the time

HKS 272s
Boost Controller
and injectors i think

then added the AMS 35r and race the next day and ran like a 11.4 still needing tuned, the car wasnt running right.

i talked to him about it all last night he got rid of teh slips after he traded the car in.
