Ralliart Rrm Turbo 1/4 Mile!!

This was the best of the night... very hard to control the car. It's just so much damn power. Had some Toyo RA-1's mounted on the front for traction. Not a bad launch i think but could be better.

Previous best was NA @ 14.3 or .2 can't remember. Now i have RRM turbo kit, crank pulley, lightened flywheel, RRM clutch, RRM axle back, and a CF hood from RRM.

This time run was 13.3 @ 109

LETS SEE AN SC BEAT THAT!! Just kidding guys... but finally got proof it is FAST!!

Oh and this was on race gas with the race gas pushing 9psi. ROCK told me not to but i didn't hear any pinging so i just went for it. WAS OUTSTANDING GUYS!!

Lastly big thanks to RRM for everything and all the help. NOW RELEASE THE DAMN SOFTWARE... i wan't that race gas map so i can really talk some shiznit!

Hopefully i could get in the 12's with that... also do you have any LSD's in stock? The car was almost uncontrollable thru 3rd. IT'S FAST!!

I did do some runs at stock boost with the race gas... couldn't get into the 13's. Pulled consistant 14 flats with 2.0-2.1 60's. Still way fast. Just not faster than the mustang that was next to me(10sec)... well ahead of me is more like it!

Thats pretty good.

But me personally I prefer a more balanced powerband that an SC offers, I want that belt driven power to come in all the time. I guess its a trade off. Keep up the good work let us know when you reach the 12s !!

Very good job, and very nice trap speed. Your car can sneek up on a couple of stock and lightly modded EVOs. Good to see other Lancer platforms doing well.

More balanced?? You mean you like less power down low and in the mid range huh? At any rate please stay out of my posts if you're gonna try and pimp an SC!

Yeah... if only i was AWD though. Funny thing is that, on the highway, i tend to walk away from evo's pretty well. Just can't do nothing to them from a launch.

They are the best i think... hope to get one some day.

Your reaction to this level of power is so cute. Your Ralliart right now is as fast as my lightly-modded Evo, so we'd be dead even on the highway. Well, I guess I'm talking about pump gas...on race gas, I'd still pull away but not by a lot (3-4mph higher trap). At first, I thought this was a great accomplishment, but then you said you ran 14.3 while still N/A? Then, you could only do 14s on pump gas with the turbo? Why is there so little gain?

I can't seem to stop spinning the tires off... it spins all the way into some of 3rd gear. It really sucks ***.

My times got better only due to the extra power from upping the boost. It was still uncontrollable down low. I'm gonna get an LSD for the car and see what i can do after that.

As far as evo on the highway... wonder what an evo would do if it were FWD only... or i wonder how much faster i'd be if i was AWD. I'm sure i'd be in the mid 12's easily if i had AWD. On the highway AWD slows the car down considerably i feel. Have owned a few AWD drive cars... great off the launch but up high i needed to get some big numbers to compete with guys. Usually 60-70hp/tq more. Was weird... any idea why that is?

At the 14.3 NA i didn't break the tires loose except for slightly on the launch... again the turbo in this car is just unreal for only being FWD. Damn i hope that LSD settles it down a lot. Otherwise i'm getting a full slick setup.

whoa, just relax.. I can see this thread getting ugly if you cant keep your cool when the evo guys or SC lovers come in here..

All im saying is that for most people I think an SC is more in their interests... to extract the most from a turbo, it requires thorough tuning. A SC is more of a bolt-on solution and takes very little if any tuning. And your power is there right away so I think it better for those looking for that extra kick in their daily driving. Thats why I cant wait for RIPP..

And one more thing if you wanted me to stay out of your thread, dont leave open ended sarcastic questions that prompt a response.

Keep my cool? Don't know what you mean by that daddy-o... i'm artic baby!

Basically i've made this post to show what the RRM kit can do... and it is already extensively tuned just like any other kit better be. Can't bolt on an SC and go either. Now with the RA at least.

Again though... you're post still is slinging the SC in my thread. Please stop or i'm gonna have to get the mods involved.

Thanks,
Sweet...

Shows how much you know

I was just about to congratulate you on your times......till I kept reading your posts. Fact is, the Evo is NOT FWD and the Ralliart is NOT AWD so forget about it. Then you say you've owned a few AWD cars.....like what? I can't think of a single AWD car I'd let go for a Ralliart. And to say that you'd walk an Evo on the highway.......big deal. Just because you're boosted doesn't make your Ralliart God's Charriott. Trust me, there are more than enough Evo owners who are able and willing to humble you.......myself being one of them.

Nice time I would be excited too. Get some drag radials, quaiffe, and than go back. Ignore the "haters". I agree with Wartalon, some better driving/lsd/tires and you will see improved times.
