I have about 300 passes in a Type-R and those numbers are not making any sense. The only way a Type-R will run that kind of mph is with a 70 shot , & I,H,E and then you aren't making 185whp. Also not possible to weight 2500lb with you in it. Mine weighed 2400 absolutely gutted, no a/c, etc without me. Something is just not adding up. Correct me if I'm wrong and I apologize if I coming off a bit hasty. But you can't pull anything over me when it comes to Type-R's. I have had three and and one ran high tens
OK, Your corrected and wrong! Go to Honda-tech.com , Look up DROPSPEED (over five years of Posts) Look at my ITR and I am sure you will recognize it.................If you don't just ask around. If you have been to any of the ITR EXPOs at Beaverun or Gingerman you would have also seen the car in the Instructors group.......(look for the fast one on the track ) I was also at the EXPO @ MidAmerica Motorplex in the EVO and will be at ITR EXPO 6 again at Gingerman. in the EVO

2300lb , no air bags, no rear wiper, no rear speakers, no power, AC, no power steering, Alloy Apex N1 coilovers, 12lb wheels, Wilwood brakes (24lbs lighter than the NSX front brake set-up I had)..........................should I go on?

Here is a picture of it.

ITR and SRT sharing the garage:

ITR interior:

SRT4 At Milan Michigan for its 13.00 pass............

And the time slip for he SRT 4

The ITR Engine bay.......................

Guys,

I don't think there is any bickering at all going on, and Wartalon is being nice.....................everyone is trying to figure out what is going on with the car and the traps at the track.........

I provided photos above to document some of the claims I made earlier.........I have no reason to make anything up............I am already married, with a house, child, three cars, and a good job.................only person I need to lie to is the doctor about my eating habits when I'm old

As far as my ITR, ................you have had three. I had one for five years, and 6 engines.........Don't bother trying to question me on that subject. I could still take that car apart with my eyes closed and torque everynut and bolt to spec........Sorry.

I am going to Gingerman to run the car at the roadcourse on Saturday. It is about 45 minutes from the US 131 Dragway in Martin Michigan..............If I can, (tired/ broken car/ unhappy wife) I will try to get the car to Martin Saturday night or Sunday and make a few passes.

I will also make an attempt to get the car on the Mustang dyno again in the next few weeks to get some answers as to what is going on.......

Stay tuned>>>>>>>>>>>

Matt Jensen.

Iam glad dropspeed is having a open mind and being level headed about this .
I would be nice to have time/mph from a nother track to compare and contrast .
But something is abnormal and it would be nice to find out what it is .

Wow. This is for sure one of the better and more grown-up threads on this forum. I hope we are able to get to the bottom of this. Dropspeed, great driving by the way. Keep up the good work.

Hey, jrsimon, just trying to follow your logic here. You believe that he runs 5mph faster with 300 more lbs? That means he puts down about 80 more whp than you with stock cams and pump gas. I think the traps are just wrong at that track, but the ETs show great driving still.
