My daily driver BR GT35R 1/4 mile results

As some of you might know, I upgraded the turbo in my EVO. Well my best time last year on the stocker was 12.03 @115.

I ran the car at Tri State Drag Way yesterday this is probably one of the worst tracks around (so I hear). I'm still using my snow tires 235/45/17 (H) made by Semperate. I didn't kill my 1/4 time by a whole lot do to lack of traction and serious bogging. The runs today were on 93 oct and alky. Max boost observed was 24.5 on the AM gauge. The weather was chilly around 52 degrees. Here is my best run of the day:

R/T .441
60' 1.858
330' 5.248
1/8 7.879
1/8 mph 93.12
1000' 10.098
1/4 ET 11.935
1/4 mph 123.27

I finally made it into the 11's but this could have been done with the stock turbo. But my MPH kicks ***. I was really hoping to get some good times today. I don't know how much of a factor the tires played, but I couldn't launch my car at all today. If I had a good launch, I'd just spin all four.

The car is still on it's stock intake mani, TB, top and bottom end. I don't have the HKS DLI 2 on anymore and didn't get any spark blow out running today.

The car runs great and I'm having a blast driving it everyday. Dave and his crew did a good job on the car. This was my first time at the track in over 7 months. I hope to get my 60' down with a little bit more practice. I don't do it at the stop lights only at the track.

I cranked up the boost after my fourth run. I was only netting about 115-118 mph at 24 psi. The guage said I was hitting around 24.5 psi during my runs with 221-223 mph.

Driving on the street is not bad at all. Basically your driving a 4 cyl around town, you won't hit 21 psi until around 4100-4500 rpms. What exactly are you worried about when driving on the street?

What made you choose the BR kit over others?

how does it feel compared to the stocker? when do you see full boost?

at least your broke into 11's, more practice and better tires and you'll be going faster and faster, 123 trap is good for mid to low 11's. im sure you'll get there!

next time do a couple runs with pump, then throw some race gas in, and see what you can do with that!

could you post up a dyno chart, and maybe your time slip too, i just like to see things with my own eyes. thanks!

Big thing was the price . I was stuck between the 20g9 and the GT35r. I figured if I didn't like the 35R I could sell it and not lose any money from the purchase of the 35R and purchase the 20g9 kit.

20g9, to the gt35r isnt that a big jump? was there a reason you ruled out the gt30? or just to many gt30 options so you figured go 20g9 or go BIG?

were all in this boat, no one knows what turbo they want, anything you could add would be appricated thanks.
