Is my time normal???

Hey guys well went to the track today. Yes i know before i get any replies about it my 60ft wasnt the best but has been the best i have had. here are my mods

Fidanza cam gears
hks 264/272
injen intake with uicp
turboxs tbe
Walbro 255

Here is what i ran

60ft---1.9
330---5.66
1/8 et---8.71
1/8mph---80.04
1000 et---11.3
1000 mph---93.01
1/4 et---13.5
1/4 mph 102.86

Yes i know i do not have a tune yet and it would help but i see other members with high et times than mine and 1/4 et better now i know their 60fts are like 1.7 1.8. Is that my problem do i just need to launch a little harder. THis is the first day i went out and actually had some decent launches now they are the best but the best that i have done and i actually built boost off the lnie instead of bogging it.
TUNE WILL BE HERE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!!!!!

I think there's '05's running 13.0 flat stock... you need a tune.

With a good tune, you should run at least 110+ mph, even with the horrible 60-ft. I say about low 12's at best with your upgrades, but good God man, get yourself at least a reflash, good for 12.5, until your launch skills develop.

Shift faster. Even untuned you could be in the high-mid 12's.

With the cams you definately need a big time tune.

Cause i'm running 12.5 right now without a tune. So that should kinda show that you need one.

You need a tune, your MPH should be higher with cams. I trapped 107 with exhaust and intake.

Have you had your car dynoed? You need to know what power you are putting at the wheels. You can probably do better than that, but the driving plays a big part in these things... Generally, the '03s were much less powerful than later EVOs I had an '03 heavily modified and the best time I got was 13.00 at 106 mph.... Granted, my driving is not the best, but the car only put down 259 whp...... After I had it retuned by Andrew at Dyno4mance, the car put down 290+ whp but I did not get to race it again... I strongly suggest a custom tune. I had the best luck with Shiv's flash and the XEDE, tuned by Andrew at Dyno4mance. You can try them or whoever you want. Of course, YMMV, etc....

Well I could have predicted this. You've been throwing on mods without doing them in the proper succession and while untuned. You've also made about 100 threads asking more questions than I could ever think of. You just really needed to take it easy and follow the proper steps. Your car is slower than mine was stock, no matter how you shift or launch. Your mph may improve a little with a better launch, but not by much.

A tune will help you, but you may have other issues if your mods aren't put together well with no boost leaks and good wrenching, then you'll need to address that.

So as i read this you say that i have put my mods in without proper succesion? the mods i have are pretty much what your package is besides a flash? which from what i have read i should do a flash after my mods which i still have 1 left to do. Also the mods i have you have recommended to alot of people so im kinda confused just not the brands you prefer? Also a tune will help obviously but what other issues will i have with the mods you recommend that i have other than an Intake which i know you do not recommend!!! And what are the proper steps that i need/Must take? Since i havent done them.

No, I never recommend an intake, especially not one that costs $400. I don't recommend that TBE, but I don't think anything is wrong with it. I suggest cams, but you never add cams without a tune. You also don't add a fuel pump before a tune. You don't do cam gears with a 264/272 hybird (do you have them set anywhere besides 0,0?), I don't recommend that BOV, and I do recommend an MBC.

Anyway, it just makes no sense to do those mods, 3 of which have ADVERSE affects on fueling, when you don't have any sort of tune. There's no reason to go to the track either when your mods are all thrown together without a tune and with your fuel all over the map. It's not smart.

Man let me know next time you go to the track and I will come up and we will get your times down some. I had the most of the same mods and ran 12.46 so give me a call and we'll work somthing out.

All cars dont put down identical power even with identical parts and similiar tuning. It is possible you just have a weak car as well. You really should be trapping significantly higher then that, but there can be quite a bit of mph held up in tuning. My car is only trapping 110mph on 110 octane, really should be closer to 117 mph or so. *shrug*

The intake and fuel pump are hurting you if you're untuned. I ran faster than you in the 1/8th when I was stock.
