10 second pump gas DSM.

Link to DSMTuners

Alright so here is my question... How is it with a larger turbo like that, 1 and 2gs run high boost on pump gas but we stop around 20-22, and use race fuel or alchy....

I'm sure it has to do with the built motor. You can build a motor to be more knock resistant. Even then, 28psi and 20 degrees of timing seems a tad extreme, but oh well. I can barely get 12 degrees of timing at those kind of boost levels and that is with 116 octane. Probably just need to get me a built motor.

Yea the stock piston are not meant to hold that type of boost with such octane so you end up wearing out the motor or blowing it up.

I do not believe it was pump gas alone... perhaps 110 from the pump

The turbo is like a 3076r. It isnt all that big of a turbo. I have the same exact turbo on our DSM and there is no way I could see to run it at that boost and timing without some sort of an aid (E-85, Methanol, 110 Octane+, etc).

An FP 3052

It has a GT30 center, a custom made FP hotside (.70 ar I believe) that bolts to a mitsu flange, and a 52 lb/min compressor.

Pretty much the same as a 3076r.

Yes but you need to remember the frontal area and weight of our cars vs. a DSM.

Most DSMs will run slightly faster/quicker with the same power.

The guy you refered too on dsmtuners also has an Evo and is on here. Ask him.
He also owns the pump (93) gas record in a DSM. He knows his ****.

Look closer to the mod list - it runs wet nitrous (in fuel) which act like an antidetonant - so he can run more boost, timing, etc.

That makes no sense.
A wet nitrous kit simply injects nitrous and fuel at the same time.

He states that no Nitrous was used anyways.
