1st track run

Never even been to a drag track, let alone ran my car. I have launched my car maybe 5 times b4 last nite since I bought it.

05 SSL with megan TP and cat back (factory downpipe) + mail in dynoflash. No other mods. Had spare tire in and ~1/4 tank of 93 oct

tire pressure was 36 front and 34 rear (prolly too high for drag use).

~70F, dont know wind, near sea level.

Ist run, launched at 5K limit with foot to floor. Rolled out the clutch untill started to move then let it all the way out. Revs went to limit with felt like tires spinning (front?). And I think I let off right b4 the last sensor as I hadnt wound out 4th all the way

2.03 60'
5.67 330'
83.96 mph
8.67 660"
11.21 1000'
100.49 mph
13.40

2nd run. Launched at 5K limiter, and let out cluctch as before, but moderated the revs at around 6K (instead of having the foot planted). Less wheel spin this time, shifted at around 7200 rpm every gear except 4th which I wound all the way out

1.91 60'
5.39 330'
86.91 mph
8.25 660"
10.79 1000'
106.8 mph
12.91

Comments? Any idea what the best time I should be able to achieve without addind anymore mods? How where my shifts?

I am assuming race gas wouldnt make much difference without an MBC to up the boost, but I cant mod anymore for a while.

You need different tires or something. Your car should not be spinning badly enough to hit 1.9-2.0 60' times. Even when mine spin extremely hard (Enough to throw rubber chunks) I still hit anywhere from 1.71-1.88s.

Other than that it seems your doing fine. Keep it up!

or it could be a crappy driver The track was not prepped and I did avoid the water box. I estimate I should be aound 280-290 whp assuming 300 whp for an 05 with flash full TBE and MBC 21 psi.

Just thought I could get more constructive help ie need more geip, better launching, shifting. I am as modded as I am gonna get for a while, just wanted to know what I should aim for.

As i am new to this I dont really know how to analyze the slip, hence the post.

Thanks for the help so far, keep it coming

I saw a dude in his C6 get a 13.2, terrible launch , plus an R32 pull a 14.5 after going through the water box.

Some guy with a real jet engine strapped to a large "go cart frame" ran a 6.x at 230 mph. That thing was fooking scary

Your ET matches up with the MPH decently.

You could get the launch much much better. If you are really having traction problems do a burnout before the run. I always do now and it helps out some. If nothing else it will scrub all the rocks and dirt off the tires.

You were burning your clutch, not spinning..You should hit 12.6 with that mph with good driving..Kepp practicing and your times will drop.. In my car I was hitting 12.6@106-107 with flash and test pipe..
