Evo vs FD3S

I have this *friend* with a 3rd gen RX7 who's always talking about how his car would woop mine.

I don't know how mods but he said he's making about 400whp

I shoulddddd be making around 350whp out of mine.

I have an 05 MR with:

AMS turboback with test pipe
GSC 272/272 Cams
HKS RS intake
Helix o2 Housing
Maxford Exhaust manifold
GRE Performance FMIC
LPI upper and lower IC piping
Forge MBC set to 21 lbs.
Tuned by Dynoflash.

I'm wondering who would win in a drag race (both of us using street tires, no DRs and no Slicks).

He and I live in different cities so please don't tell me "DUH JUST GO RACE HIM", but what do you guys think would happen?

What kind of et's and traps do fd's with 400whp usually throw down?

When he says he's modded, does he mean that he's got bolt on's with a Power FC? Or, is he saying he's gone big single turbo and the works?

Who knows, man? It's all speculation and no way to know or even care unless you can race him.

Trust me. It will happen someday. Regardless, no one can answer me at all about what kind of traps fd's with 400whp are getting? =\

He's got a lot of $$$ in that car. Good driving should get him 11.5 in the 1/4 mile...

You will win if you are running at the track and on street tires. But be aware that he is going to be closing in on you rather quickly, as you cross the 1/4 mile mark. BTW, PM me when you set up a date to run him. Thanks.

Dude, FD's are one of the lightest imports period... they only need about 500rwhp to hit 9s with a good driver! You will get eaten alive if he can drive.... sorry to say.

like 2700 lbs. thats pretty light but thats nothing rediculous. plus you're still not factoring in street tires.

dude... most likely he cant drive it.. It seems like a very hard car to drive.. one of my best friends Carsey has one that is nearly stock right now and he can keep up with us Evos easy.. but if he can i think it would be game over...
