Had this car for a week and I dont drive it hard, but I took it to the trac yesturday. Only got to run it twice and this is my best run.
R/T .781
60' 1.899
330 5.588
1/8 8.714
MPH 80.46
1000 11.439

How did I do and what to I need to work on.

Not bad for first time and stock car, your 60' foot could be a little better but that takes practice and it seems your 1-2 shift is a little slow as well by looking at your 5.58 330 but overall not bad for first time out there...

i feel you bro. I took the car to the track for the first time today as well ...Completely Bone stock. I have an 05 Evo VIII. The best time was 14.7. I revved to about 4000 rpm and slipped the clutch out a little. I missed 2nd and 3rd twice out of 6 runs. I need some major practice and help. First time ever racing with a manual car. I too would like to know how to improve 60 ft time, and at what point to shift The 14.7 run, I was shifting around 6500 rpm.
Had a blast. Took a trans am off the line twice but then lost the lead. My first race was against a 11 second Mustang with huge drag radials. Next time I hope to do a lot better with research and practice.

Wow, I didnt know there were any stock '03's left! j/k
Not bad for an '03. What were the race conditions and elevation? Shifting at 6900-7000 is about right for a stock car. Get some better '60's and work on the shifting and some mid-lower 13's are possible. Nice job.
