Traps and ETs don't match

Alright, I guess I can't launch for crap. I went out to the track tonight and got an 11.92 @ 121. Then an 11.92 @ 122. Then an 11.92 @ 123. That'll **** you off. I'm trapping incredibly high to be running such a high ET don't you think? How do you guys launch? I usually end up roasting the tires in 1st and a bit in 2nd.

And I would post a whole time slip rather than just "I suck at launching" but it's 5AM and the slips are in the car. Usually about a 1.78 60ft and a 7.8 1/8th

Well since you dont have the rev limiter I would prolly say you are bogging it? However since you are roasting the tires bogging isnt your problem traction is; therefore you need to learn how to slip the clutch. With almost 500whp you definitely should be running a little better IMHO. I prolly have a 11sec car and I basically have a stock evo with some minor mods.

I am running around the same 60fts and I have maybe 330whp.

Your shifting just kinda sucks

I cut mid 1.7s spinning the tires badly but still can pull off 11.40's with a 123 trap. If you post a log Ill be your shifts are slow and your big turbo takes awhile to respool in each gear.

I can do you one better. A friend rode with me last night and got some video. As soon as he gets that up I'll post it, and I'll get you guys a slip as soon as I'm done with this rehearsal.

Remember when you spin, your MPH goes up. Get a good launch and that MPH will come down. What is your 60'?

jeez. My 60ft was worse on this run than I thought.

60ft - 1.83
330 - 5.13
1/8 - 7.78
mph - 89.09
1000-10.04
1/4 - 11.92 @ 123

I was getting 1.7s. But I wouldn't ever run an 11, I had better results spinning. I'd try launching like normal than coming off the throttle real quick then getting back in it. That would stop me from spinning and I'd hook and it all felt great. But that was only getting me 1.9s.

The clutch is an Exedy twin disc. I feel bad about slipping the clutch too much. But I guess I'll try.

U live in Texas but car was tuned by TT in Colton. BTW What track? Also just keep practicing because big turbos give u the mile per hour but Ets are not usually commensurate with Whp or Mph due to turbo lag between shifts/ shifting issues and launching difficulties.

Yea, I've had the car for about a month. Bought it in NorCal, drove it down to LA, got it tuned, brought it back. The track was West Texas Raceway Park in Penwell, TX. Small podunk track. It's pretty high altitude and everyone calls it Spinwell. There were 2 other cars out last night, to give you an idea. A truck and a stock fox body.

Yea there has either got to be an issue with your car or you. Cause I am pulling better 60's and about the same 1/8mile et and I AM NEARLY STOCK.

I dont understand why you are trapping lower than me though in the 1/8? I mean you have 272 with alot more power? This is odd to me.

On a fair preped 1/8th mile track on 91 I'll do a 7.73 @ 90.

You're also at sea level, and I'm at something like 4000ft
