I would get a custom tune to ensure the quality of the flash. Could make a difference.

Im with Warralton, throw the evo on the dyno and see whats going on....

The e-flash is probably fine. Tons of cars have base flashes and work great. A custom tune is always better, but that's not always available. In your case, it's not the tune that is causing the car to be slow, so you'll have to figure out what it is.

Whoa, 23lbs. With all those handling mods, I would have thought you would use racing rims that are light. Those are only 8" wide, so you gain nothing from having them, and you add 12lbs of rotational mass over the stock Enkeis, and 24lbs more than the stock MR rims. That makes quite a difference with launching and acceleration.

Like Warr said, rims man. Rotational mass is killer!

yeah i wanted some looks along with the rims and to me 12lbs isnt going to make or break me buying wheels... i did a boost test and you guys were right i had a leak on an intercooler pipe and their was also a hose broke off hangin from the bottom of the throttle body intake! car pulls so much smoother and powerful now! i was wondering why my car seemed lean after the e-flash and that might explain it! Ill go back to the track and see if I can better my time a little! thanks alot guys... anything else i can do better when making runs though? It will only be my third time so im kind of clueless! thanks

I just want to add my two cents about warrtalon and Al from dyno flash. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!

Before i went to Colorado Springs for a custom tune i was running from 13.0 to 13.7 with a stage 5 kit from Buschur Racing. I went to the tune and now i am running 12.5 and lower on 23 psi with 97 octane... not exactly sure what i would run with full 28psi and 116 octane but i would guess 12.0 to 12.3 maybe faster. and the thing is my tune isnt that much different. I was just taught something very important... Al showed me how to shift and launch and that made a world of difference, a whoel second or more. i thought i was shifting right and fast enough until Al showed me how to shift. I think he is as fast if not faster than an automatic tranny (dead serious!!) and then when i was taught how to launch... dont believe me???

click on the first link and this was my fastest time on 25 psi and 103 octane race gas at 13.36 this was before meeting Al and Warrtalon.

Now click on the second link this is is on 23 psi and 97 octane race gas at 12.5 with the same mods except this is after I met Al and Warrtalon and used their advice. the car Revving is me , the new way i launch thanks to Al.

Anyway that is my two cents... I have heard a million times.. man you need to learn to drive... your shifting is horrible... learn to launch correctly. I just didnt think they were right until I met Al and Warrtalon. Thanks again guys.

I dont think it is shifting i think that you have something mechanically wrong with your car it just seems that it is quick off the line but it just dosent have the topend power. You had a good 60' and if your shifting at redline that is where you need to shift.

Did you ever get a custom tune?

When we left off, you were supposed to be doing a boost leak test and getting rid of those very heavy rims that are stock width. Shifting is not the main issue here.
