Did some racing today at Cecil County Dragway (Sep 6, 2006)

Was a learning expirience, I'm pretty disappointed over all with my driving. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The track prep was god awful, even visually, the track just looked bad. It was really hard to find the groove, and over all I had some interesting traction issues.

Best run was an 11.8@118mph, with those types of traps I should be WAY lower in the ET's. I really have a hard time keeping the nose of the car up, and it seems with the increased boost and power the car nose dives hard in the shift and I lose all of my momentum.

I also was having traction issues pretty bad, my 60 foots arent a really good indicator however because I did cut some low 1.7s, but the car would spin through all of first gear and on one launch went sideways and started wheel hopping. As the sun went down traction became more and more of an issue. My worst 60 foot was a 1.81 and it was also my worst run at 12.4 (missed 4th)

Flat foot shifting isnt really an option anymore apparently, both runs that I tried it I screwed up. The runs that I wasn't trying to do anything crazy I was running 11s....so I guess I should be happy with that.

Here is my best run of the night:

60---------1.74
330--------4.99
1/8--------7.681
MPH-------90.90
1000------9.972
1/4--------11.882
MPH-------118.37

Your top end is good, but your driving......I think your car can trap 120MPH.

Cecil is a hit or miss track, sometimes its preped well and others, well...

I'm suprised you saw no improvements with flat-shifting. Were you running the same boost as you dyno'ed in your sig?

DIdn't you switch to a VTA BOV? THere is a chance that has something to do with the nose coming down between shifts because your going rich.

Over all though I wouldn't be too disapointed with your times. There is, atleast, going to be some improvement with more seat time.

Did you try to play with tire pressures?

Tire pressure was like 22psi and I was still spinning horribly. I want to try upgrading some motor mounts and things like that to see if I can keep the weight transfer a little more in check.
