100% Stock 06 Z06 Corvette doing 10.80s with drag radials on ?
Well, you can argue DOT drag radial tires aren't stock, but the rest of the car is. Not even an intake or exhaust! Nothing! Bone stock with DOTs on! Very impressive I must say, and I'm not a corvette fan really.

JK, sometimes I just wish I had the $$$ for a C6 Z06. Then I drive my Evo - and forget all about the Corvette.

4G63 T - ya this driver was 11.24 on stock tires. Its in his sig on the Vette forum. EDIT: But its not to say all C6Z's can do 11s out of the box, this guy is a good driver and knows his car. Here is an example of an "Ave. Joe" v. manofaith at Lapeer (12.47 (Vette) v. 11.62 (manofaith)).

But yes, back to the subject, I heard there are more than one that ran a high 10's on drag radials.

I would be impressed if any z06 with good driver could duplicate that. But the truth is the average ones are high elevens at best. I see them at the track all the time. Most never see 11,s. Sometimes the truth of what was actually used to set this record would surprise you. A little nitro in the fuel can be just as effective if not more effective as nitrous. Fuel used does not need to be disclosed. Using nitrous does need to be disclosed. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he cheated. There are always secrets not revealed.

I think the reason you don't see more bone stock c6 z's in the lower 11s is because of the roll bar requirement. I was at a track rental a couple of weeks back and there were 6 z06's all running very low 11s to high tens. none of them had roll bars in them so there were a lot of people braking hard at the1000' mark, making it look like the car was only running a low 12 but the 1/8th time told the whole story.
